What Newton Abbot really needs is another coffee shop, said no one, ever.
But, nonetheless we have a new one. Ok, it’s been there about a month now, and I meant to write this review after I went in the first time. But, I had to go back again another two times – you know, just to be sure.
Where I live, Newton Abbot, seems to have an abundance of pubs, and charity shops, and now coffee shops are taking over the town. We have a Costa, Coffee Republic and numberous independent places such as The Pharmacy, Lemon Jelli, The Country Table Cafe, The Clock Tower, Devon Deli, and more. Well, now we also have Coffee #1.
I’m familiar with the chain as I have visited the one in Wellington. From what I can see it is primarily the South West of England and Wales, that have branches.

I wasn’t going to write this because I’ve been a bit under the weather, but I had a good weekend, so it’s good to reflect and share.
Welcome to Monday!
Healthy Diva Eats
Whoop whoop – It’s What I ate Wednesday. Which means we all get to
indulge our nosey sides seek inspiration from all the yummy food out there.
I guess it should be Fall into good habits – yep, squash/pumpkins are in daily rotation so I guess it is now autumn (hey, I’m British).
Did I have any good habits? I hope so! I recorded this on Monday, I had a course at work, so things were a bit different (well, I still took my own lunchbox – lunch wasn’t provided). So here you have it:
I have my final installment of our London mini-break, but today I’m jumping on the bandwagon blogging about my weekend, and joining in with Marvelous in My Mondays:
Healthy Diva Eats
It was a great weekend, and I learned something about myself.
“YOU WHAT? You want to know my blog URL? Why???”
I know, as a blogger I should be pleased when people read my blog. And yes, I am – hello and welcome, I’m so glad you’re here. But then someone I KNOW reads my blog, and I’m like all:
You know what’s even worse. When your blog mentions them! Or their girlfriend/boyfriend/mother/father/cat. Oh yes. Not by name, but clear as day. You know what? They might be reading this now…it could be you?? But then you’d know if it was wouldn’t you?
Then in my head I’m manically trying to think what I wrote? Were there other posts?
I’m not saying I’ve written anything personal. At least I don’t think I have. It’s more in passing – such as my paying it forward posts (I still try to do nice things, I just don’t want to make a thing of it). At least I hope that’s all it is 🙂
Hello, happy hump day 🙂
This is actually a What I ate Wednesday – yes, I recordered it last Wednesday. What’s so special about Wednesday? I hear you cry (ok, perhaps you don’t care that much). But I do, because it’s smoothie day!! Whoop whoop.
I don’t know what will happen when the weather turns and I no longer want my icy smoothies – perhaps I will replace it with more coffee – who am I kidding? If I drank anymore coffee you might as well set me up with an IV drip – hey, we all need our vices 🙂
No, I’m not pregnant. Though when I mentioned to our friends we were meeting our ‘new addition’ Ben made a point of rubbing my stomach – he was lucky he didn’t lose a hand!
No, we’re fostering my sister’s cat for a few months while they find a place of their own.
Hi all! Happy hump day!
It’s What I ate Wednesday, so, as always, thanks to Jenn for hosting!
Knowing that I was in London, visiting foodie places last week, you would think I would have done my WIAW then, but alas, I was not that organised, and I was too busy enjoying my food to photograph it (well, some of it anyway). So, here are my eats from Friday – my staycation at home 🙂
What I ate Wednesday #30
Where was I? Oh yes, we were on our way to Raw Press. If you missed the first part of our trip to London you can find it here.
From Inspiral in Camden, we hopped back on the tube and headed towards Dove Street. Ben and I had planned in advance and located the street – all we had to do was find Raw Press, and the Delicously Ella goodies.
We found the street quickly, and walked up it looking for number 32. We walked up and down the street but didn’t see it. As we came round a hoarding, we laughed together at the store Wolf and Badger – it seemed like a funny name at the time, and the clothes in the window were something to behold (please note, this is an image from Google Maps and is not showing what was in the window at the time).

Once we had walked all the way along the street and back Ben decided to check on his blackberry that we had the address right. I usually hate that thing, but it chose this moment to work, yay! I was grateful. Turns out that Raw Press is right below Wolf and Badger – oops.
